Dr. Kevin Ledgewood has served as Director of Public Relations for the Arts and Humanities Council of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama since 1999.  A native of Corinth, Mississippi, he received the Bachelor of Music Education degree from The University of Southern Mississippi in 1989, and in 1991, the Master of Music in Woodwind Performance and Pedagogy from the same institution.  Ledgewood was an educator in the public schools of Tennessee and Mississippi from 1992 through 1995.  During the 1998-1999 academic year, he served as adjunct professor of clarinet at The University of Mississippi.  He was awarded the Doctor of Musical Arts in Clarinet Performance from The University of Alabama in 2002.  Ledgewood’s clarinet studies were conducted with Dr. Scott Bridges, Wilbur Moreland, and Dr. Wade Irvin. In his spare time, he is a gardener, visual artist, and most recently, has been a piano student of Dr. Edisher Savitski and Ben Rosairo.
